Quality Control & Testing
Every fishing line we manufacture passes rigorous quality control and testing protocols -- because a broken line means a lost fish, a lost lure, and a lost customer's trust.
What We Check
Our quality control and testing programme covers every dimension that affects real fishing performance.
Material
Raw material verification against specification -- nylon, PVDF, PE/UHMWPE.
Diameter
Micrometer measurement at multiple points to confirm consistent cross-section.
Length
Spool length verified against declared specification -- 50 m to 5000 m.
Breaking Strength
Tensile load test to confirm rated breaking strength under real-world conditions.
Knot Strength
Clinch and loop knot retention tests -- the most common failure point in fishing.
Abrasion Resistance
Repeated abrasion cycles simulating rocks, reefs, and underwater structure.
Appearance
Surface finish, clarity, and freedom from defects or contamination.
Color
Color consistency check against approved sample -- critical for branded SKUs.
Winding
Lay tension, cross-winding angle, and spool fill uniformity inspection.
Packaging
Label accuracy, barcode scan, seal integrity, and carton count verification.
Testing Process
Our quality control and testing workflow runs from raw material intake through to shipment approval -- four structured stages.
Production Inspection
In-line monitoring
During active production, our QC team performs continuous in-line monitoring to catch deviations before they become batch problems. Key activities include:
Finished Product Inspection
Pre-packing gate
Before any line is wound onto a retail spool, every batch goes through a full finished-product inspection gate. This is the primary defence against defective product reaching customers.
Batch Consistency
Cross-batch control
Inconsistency between batches is one of the most common complaints from fishing brands. We address this through structured cross-batch data comparison and retained sample archives.
Sample Verification
Pre-order approval
Before mass production begins, we send verified pre-production samples for buyer approval. The sample verification step protects both parties and establishes the quality benchmark for the full order.
Buyer Quality Checklist
Use this checklist when evaluating any fishing line supplier -- including us. Good quality control and testing should be transparent and verifiable.
Does the supplier provide a test report with every order?
Yes -- full QC report issued per batch
Can you request third-party lab verification?
Yes -- available on buyer request
Is diameter tolerance documented and controlled?
Yes -- +/-0.01 mm batch variance target
Are knot strength results included in QC data?
Yes -- clinch & uni knot tested per batch
Are retained samples available for dispute resolution?
Yes -- 12-month archive per batch
Is raw material lot traceability maintained?
Yes -- full material traceability on record
Is pre-production sample approval required before mass production?
Yes -- written approval required
Are colour and appearance standards documented?
Yes -- delta-E vs. master standard tracked
